Since its founding in 1969, Continental has provided marine construction, initially focusing on material handling facilities in the Mississippi and Ohio River basins. Through the years, Continental has expanded its scope of marine construction services - now encompassing dock construction, wharves, mooring structures, etc. - to both public and private entities. We continue to serve the interior river basins throughout most of the continental United States and now include both Gulf and Atlantic coasts as well as the Caribbean.

Port of West Memphis | West Memphis, Arkansas
1 | Riverport Facility

Continental's abundance of experience in construction from both land and water attracted us to bid this project for the Port of West Memphis. Ultimately successful, we set about, in a workman like manner, to build this facility. The farmers of the region needed a more convenient way to get their grain crops to market. West Memphis, centrally located, fit the bill. Many areas of Continental's expertise were used in the construction of this project. Sheet pile mooring cells, structural steel erection and material conveyances form the working core of this great addition to the economy of West Memphis.
